Renaissance Retirement Village.

Glenvista Renaissance Retirement Village was established on 4 July 1988. We have 234 units, single standard, single deluxe and two bedroom units.

It is a security village for self-sufficient persons, over the age of 50, in terms of the Housing Development Schemes for Retired Persons Act No 65 of 1988.

The Village is very well appointed, being in close proximity of hospitals, doctors and shopping centres.

The Village has fibre optic cables, which go to all the units. There are various service providers for you to choose from. This should be arranged directly with your preferred service provider.

Nursing & Caring

The Village does not have a Frail Care facility. We however, have a qualified nursing sister who is on duty Mondays to Fridays from 08h30 to 13h30, providing a basic nursing service for residents. She also does home visits whenever necessary. She works closely with the Chairperson of Community Services. We are a very caring community and neighbours and friends are always looking out for each other should the need arise.

Ek het in Maart 1991, na Glen Vista Renaissance Aftree-Oord verhuis. Op daardie stadium was die strate nog nie eers geplavei nie en daar was geen groen gras of bome nie. Ek is in die bevoorregte posisie, dat ek ‘n groot deel van die ontwikkeling van die pragtige tuine, die mooi damme, die voëllewe en die aanplant van die Wilgers en ander bome kon beleef. Ek woon 32 jaar in Glen Vista Renaissance Aftree-oord, as ‘n gelukkige inwoner.

I have recently moved into Glen Vista Renaissance Retirement village. After living alone in my family home for 10 years, and with my children emigrating to different continents, I decided that it was time to “downsize” I found my home here, at Renaissance, where I can live happily for the rest of my days . The cottages are comfortable and well maintained. The beautifully maintained gardens and paths are perfect for walks and getting out and about. There are many activities you can choose to join in. I know that I have made the right decision to move to Glen Vista Renaissance.Retirement VilIage, where I have a “lock up and go” lifestyle.
